Articles on the site today
The frame that the original page relied on was not preserved, so it is not known exactly which articles it listed. Shorter pieces on Dublin history are still found throughout the site, however, and many of them stand alone rather than forming part of a longer book.
Examples include the essay James Joyce - his life and works, The Walls of Dublin, an interview with the author of Dublin books by Peter Pearson, Margaret Skinnider’s memories of 1916 and the collection of Accounts of the Easter Rising. The General Dublin History category gathers these and other single pages, while the Chronology of Dublin history offers a year-by-year outline of the city’s past, in sections running from the earliest records to the year 2000.
Longer works
Readers looking for more depth can turn to the books divided into chapters, such as Picturesque Dublin Old and New, D.A. Chart’s The Story of Dublin and Memorable Dublin Houses by Wilmot Harrison. Every chapter on the site is listed on the all chapters page, and the Book list covers the full-length texts. Suggestions for new articles, along with corrections and material for the site, can be sent through the contact page.
