This was one of the most difficult books to scan to date. The quality of the print got gradually worse throughout the second half and I had to type the final third. On the plus side, it is a mine of information and contains many nuggets not to be found elsewhere. The "Perambulations" can still be taken as most of the buildings mentioned have survived. There were no chapters in the original so I've taken the liberty of splitting it into chunks. Fifteen pages, mainly detailed tables, have still be to finished. KF, Sept 2,000.
